Unravelling and weaving, sometimes simultaneously

Downspout

Cheeks are streaked with salt.
Is there a surfeit of tears?
Do they settle like a storm’s end
into the slow droplets
of purified water
collected from the eves
into some cosmic barrel
used to water the garden
of broken hearts?

For everyone who is looking for a tangible way to help Caroline right now, we have set up a “Love” fund at a local bank so that people can help her to pay these unexpected costs. If you would like to contribute something to this fund, please email me at melinda@zolzer.net
